Creating vision through opportunity and experience.
Education initiatives help parents and professionals expand their understanding and vision of what is possible, and build skills in auditory development. Through training and education programs, Partners for A Greater Voice fosters sustainable projects that help the process for a lifetime of listening and learning. Creating successful learning experiences for deaf and hard of hearing children requires that the child’s school, community and family understand the day-to-day challenges and needs.

Visits are made to targeted communities to assess an interest in auditory learning and/or determine priority needs of parents and teachers who are vested in helping a deaf child learn to listen and speak. Since 2002, Partners for A Greater Voice created dozens of programs designed to meet the tremendous needs of families and young children living with a hearing loss in several parts of the Dominican Republic. In 2006, Greater Voice also traveled to India to assess programs and services in Mumbai and Pune. Understanding the needs and interests of a community helps to determine the follow up and educational initiatives designed to meet priority needs.
