In developing countries, conditions are poor and services for deaf and hard of hearing are scarce or expensive. The cost of a hearing aid is shocking to the families we work with. Families struggle to find money to pay for food and transportation. With a donation to Give The Gift of Hearing, Greater Voice provides a new hearing aid to a child that that can not afford one.
It’s important that we educate and advise parents about hearing loss and hearing devices, as we teach them how to help their children learn to listen. Often parents are the first to suspect their child's hearing loss, but they have no access to information and cannot afford medical support. Hearing loss is often ignored.
With your gift of $150, Partners for A Greater Voice provides what’s needed to a qualified family and child: a NEW hearing aid and/or custom ear mold, counseling, and education materials in the language of the family. How we support a child and educate a parent varies, because every child is different and every family deserves individual support.
